It just was a great weekend.
We were invited to attend Alix’s and Andre’s concert in the UdK Konzerthaus, where she played the flute in a concert featuring Weber and Dvoraks New World Symphony.
It kind of resulted in a big scientist get together as half the work group came to witness the concert. I struggled a bit with the traditional behaviour in a classical concert, not knowing when to clap, when to go to the pause and when to return. I just sheepishly followed what the old people were doing.
We were invited to join the musicians afterwards for a drink and we did not hesitate to follow that invitation.
You may or may not have noticed that the photos have a different look than the other bits I usually do. That is because Doro and I acquired a new camera, the Fuji X100S in black. An amazing camera system instantly replacing the big and bulgy, but still excellent, Canon EOS 5DmkII. The Fuji is small, light weight and has a very high performance. More will follow.
I leave you with a picture of strong Andy and impressed Nadia.
